The Estevan Police Service was quite busy on Friday during the night. Members were called to a  lounge on the north area of the city for a disturbance, two men were reported for fighting and that one of them was in need of medical attention. Police and EMS attended, the police arrested 2 men outside the establishment. Ems attended to the injured party, that man was then taken to the hospital by police and cleared by medical staff a few hours later. Both men knew each other and were lodged in cells till sober, the incident is still under investigation and charges are pending for both individuals. 

"Police were also called to the northeast side of the city to the report of a disturbance at a residence," noted Sergeant Tyler McMillen with the Estevan Police Serve. "Upon arrival, police searched the residence with the aid of the property rep and learned that three people had run off. Police, concerned for those people, searched the area and one man was located, very intoxicated, lying face down in the snow behind a shed out in the yard, out of site. He was woken up and turned over to family members so he could be taken care of."

There was also a report at a local gas station where an individual had driven away without paying for their gas, police were able to quickly locate the vehicle and the driver returned and paid for the fuel. no charges were made as there was no criminal nature, it was an honest mistake. 

Police were out watching for impaired drivers as well as distracted drivers during their patrols and handed out several tickets were issued to drivers for intersection-related offences to red and amber lights, cellphones, unregistered vehicles and suspended drivers.

"Police also arrested an Estevan woman last night, she's facing charges for forgery and uttering forged documents. She was released on a promise to appear at a future court date."

Members responded to a call of a stranded vehicle just west of Estevan on the edge of the highway, the vehicle had stalled out and quit on them. The occupants were of the vehicle were waiting on a tow truck and getting a little cold so they were welcomed to stay in the police vehicle to stay warm until the tow truck arrived.
