Giving back to the community is something which has been instilled into the great people of south east Saskatchewan.

And on Wednesday night, the latest display of generosity involved the Estevan RBC branch making a $1000 donation to the Estevan Public Library.

"This is our second year of coming to the library, we had a really good response last year, and the library is such an important part of the community for new comers," explained RBC Mortgage Specialist, Phil Zajac. "The cheque is just a token of appreciation for what the library does, they put on a lot of good programs and we want to be part of the community that supports it."

For the library, it means a lot to receive donations like these, as it goes a long way in supporting the programs that they offer.

"We are extremely honored to be chosen for this donation from RBC," said the Library's Program Coordinator, Roxy Blackmore. "We very much appreciate it, this will be used for our on going programs at the library which are very important to the community."
