Students around the southeast headed back to school earlier this month and the school divisions are reporting a great start.

"We really had a good start everybody had time to prepare and align and you know have a comfort level that the focus is on our students and on their instruction and academic outcomes," says Gwen Keith, Director of Education for the Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division.

There are lots of new programs and techniques this year that focus on each individual student's learning.

"The start has been smooth across the system all schools are up and fully staffed Students are arriving and programs are in place," says Lynn Little, Director of Education for the South East Cornerstone Public School Division.

Students have a variety of needs and differences and it's important to understand that when it comes to their education.
