The generosity of southeast Saskatchewan was on full display yesterday as Estevan's A&W raised $2531.30 during Burgers to Beat MS.

"We had a fun day yesterday," shared store manager, Kim Robinson. "It was quite busy at times but it was great. We sold a total of 812 Teen Burgers."

$2 for every Teen Burger purchased went to support the MS Society of Canada. People were also able to give through donations and at the games table which alone raised $907.30.

"It was great to have everyone come out and support such a great cause."

Nicole Smigiel with Estevan's MS Society was also at the event with other members of the group. She shared that days like this are so important to the MS Society as it provides the bulk of their funding for research and support groups, many of whom were in attendance helping out.

"We also had teams from the Estevan Comprehensive High School volunteering their time so they can get the message out that it affects all of us, not just adults."

"It's been a lot of fun."

Robinson also wished to thank all the volunteers that helped make the day a success.
