Estevan Youth Soccer hasissued the following press release:

The current Estevan Youth Soccer (EYS) board was formulated at an annual general meeting held in early 2017 and is aware an investigation took place by the Estevan Police Service and that charges have now stemmed from that investigation.  Any knowledge of acts done by any previous board member(s) was turned over to the Estevan Police Service for their expertise.  The current board has cooperated in full with Estevan Police Service to assist in determining if any issues existed with finances from previous years.  Any board members mentioned in the court proceedings are not current board members at this time and none of the board members elected in 2017 are under suspicion, charged or accused.  Estevan Youth Soccer cannot comment further on the investigation or any charges that have been laid at this time.

The Estevan Youth Soccer board is working with the Saskatchewan Soccer Association to ensure the most affordable top quality soccer program is provided for the children and youth of Estevan and area to develop their skills, stay active and enjoy "the beautiful game".   At current time the board of EYS does not foresee any negative impact to the future of the program or future program costs.

The current board of the Estevan Youth Soccer would like to assure past, present and future members that our focus has always been and will continue to be providing the best soccer programming for the children and youth of Estevan and area.  Our 2017 season can be used as an example of the commitment of the board, coaches, volunteers and the community of Estevan to provide the best soccer experience and help foster a love of the sport.

If you are interested in contributing or helping soccer grow in the Estevan area (as a board member, coach or volunteer) please attend our AGM that will be advertised in February 2018.
