The Estevan Police Service had a fairly quiet Saturday night. One of the calls they received was a possible impaired driver driving at a high speed. Police were unable to find the vehicle in the area.

"Estevan Fire and Police were dispatched to a south Estevan business in the report of a structure fire," Constable Don Dechief noted. "Further investigation revealed that the fire wasn't at the business, but in fact in the backyard of a residence where the homeowner was burning branches. The resident was spoken to by the Estevan Fire Department and there was no further incident."

Police attended to an East central Estevan neighbourhood for a reported intoxicated man knocking on doors. The 26-year-old Alberta man was found on the step of a residence. He was arrested for being intoxicated in public then transported to the Estevan Police Station, where he was lodged in the cells till he was sober.
