Today marks the first full week of autumn.

While they were way off with the summer forecast the Old Farmer's Almanac is taking a crack at fall, saying we should see a warm end to the month and then a cool October with some potential snow just before Thanksgiving.

Winter is where it'll get interesting through according to managing editor Jack Burnett.

"We're looking at a milder than normal winter but still a lot colder than last winter. When we say milder, we're talking about... maybe half a degree warmer than normal."

When it comes to moisture, Burnett says they're expecting just slightly less moisture than normal by maybe 5mm, so really it should be a normal winter on tap.
