Farm Credit Canada is inviting farmers to learn from experts in the agriculture industry to an FCC Ag Knowledge Exchange event coming to South East Saskatchewan.

Ag Knowledge exchange events are a practical way to help producers improve their management skills get information and insight from leading farm management experts and gain a deeper understanding of the agriculture business.

Kevin Stewart, Founder of AgVision Media has delivered over 300 hours of half an hour television programs in 13 years aired on different tv stations. Stewart will be speaking at the AgKnowledge event.

"It is something I call the Maverick Mentality," explains Stewart.

Stewart said that parents set the standard for what we think of as normal.

"I grew up on the farm and my Dad farmed and what I thought was normal, as it turns out really wasn't"

"Dad was a Maverick and the term Maverick I use, it's like a definition of a wild horse."

"an un-tamed person, a person who doesn't follow convention but is pretty passionate about moving forward and doing things."

Stewart added that this Maverick Mentality mostly comes forward through young people in agriculture across North America.

Stewart will be sharing stories and experiences to help farmers learn how disruptive ideas can benefit their business practices and leadership habits.
