UPDATE

Shortly after 8 am Fire Crews were dispatched to structure fire in the Westview area, on 2nd Street A and 18th Avenue after attending to a motor vehicle accident.

"Once we arrived on the scene, it was noted that all the occupants were able to safely escape the home," stated Fire Chief Dale Feser Crews made entry into the home and were able to quickly suppress the flames, bring it under control and extinguish the fire in a short period of time using a little bit of water. It appears to be at this point in time to be a cooking-related issue. So again we would like to remind our residents and citizens of Estevan to make sure you're always attending cooking anytime you are preparing a meal."

Prior to attending the structure fire, Fire Crews were on the scene of a vehicle accident. "Earlier in the morning, we were alerted to a two-vehicle collision on the west side of the city on highway 39 at the bypass intersection by Peterbilt. Once crews did arrive on the scene it was noted that two vehicles were involved. The two injured drivers of the vehicles were treated by EMS and released. Our crew rolled in and zeroed out to all the vehicles, cleaned up some spills and assisted EMS then returned the scene back over to the RCMP to further the investigation on the cause of the collision."

Fire Crews were dispatched out to a fire shortly after 7:30 am this morning over in the Westview area, on 2nd Street A and 18th Avenue.

It looks to be a house fire as crews have a hose leading into a residence and police are directing traffic away from the area.
