The wind and snow could not keep families away from fun times to be had at the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum with their very first ever Family Fall Festival this Saturday afternoon. Young and young-at-heart alike enjoyed a variety of indoor and outdoor fall activities; including an outdoor petting zoo, bumper cars, and bouncy castles and indoor crafts, live entertainment, and buffalo hide tanning.

Guests bundled up against the forces of nature and in true Saskatchewan fashion enjoyed all the community spirit to be had at this local event.

Hopefully, the first of many more Family Fall Festivals, make sure you check back at DiscoverEstevan.com for an update on how many people attended the festivities over the weekend and what else is coming up at the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum!

*UPDATE: After speaking with Art Director and Currator, Amber Anderson of the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum, it is evident that the first Family Fall Festival was well recieved in the community.

Anderson told Discover Estevan that there were nearly 400 guests at the gallery on Saturday for the event, with 370 attendees. Additionally, 32 volunteers, artists, and performers were present throughout the afternoon.

"You know it is going to be a successful day when at five after one we already had 68 people through the doors," Anderson chuckled. "The support and turn out from the community was a big highlight of the day for us!"

Anderson was unable to speak to exactly how much the event raised but with the fantastic communtiy reception, she told us, "We are absolutely looking forward to doing this again! It was so popular... and we just loved doing it."

With their Halloween Haunt this upcoming weekend, more fall fun can be had at the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum. For details, check out their website HERE.
