According to Sask Health, this cold and flu season has been one of the most devastating in a while.

Doctors have reported seeing a large influx in the number of cases and viruses in the last little bit.

There have also been six outbreaks of the bug in long-term care facilities, including three in the last week.

The province is saying there have been 255 lab confirmed cases of the influenza virus in the province so far but the flu shot appears to be 60% effective for those that have received it.
