Canada Post has teamed up once again with the Estevan Food Bank to help stock their shelves.

"It's something that we look forward to, "Major Heather Harbin with the Estevan Salvation Army explained. "Something that we, I guess, depend upon so we're really grateful that this is something that they get on board with and all these years, continually volunteer and help us out in this way."

"Our shelves were really depleted. We've had some food donations so that's been good. But we're looking towards the winter months and we'd like to have it nice and full so this postal drive is going to be really good for us."

The top things that they are looking for are Mr. Noodles, Kraft Dinner, Cereal, Canned Meats/Tuna, Canned Beans, Spaghetti, Canned Fruit, 1 litre Juices, Spaghetti Sauce, Toilet Paper.

"We're always looking for peanut butter, spaghetti sauce and soups, the staples."

She also added that monetary donations are always helpful and much appreciated as well.

"That would be great. There are times when we have to buy stuff so it's the monetary donations that help us with that.

Food donations can be left out near your front door on October 21 at 9:00 am. For those who have PO boxes, donations can be dropped off at the Post office Monday - Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm.
