The Fresh Air Fitness Facility at Woodlawn Regional Park has been recognized as one of the best free outdoor attractions in the entire province. Former Saskatchewanderer Ashlyn George gave the honour to the park on her blog, 'Lost Girl's Guide to Finding the World,' which was quite the honour according to Co-Founder for Fresh Air Fitness Peggy Rohatyn.

"We were super excited about it and completely surprised when she called."

When it comes to the success of the three-year-old facility, it's thanks in large part to the support of the community towards their constant innovation. They've had help from a number of different people donating time, equipment, or even making equipment for them to have out at their facility.

"It's come up pretty quick. Any time we seem to have an idea, there always seems to be someone who jumps on board to help us out with that. A lot of corporate sponsors, it really is a community organization and it's worked out. People respect it."

When it comes to the care of the facility, that has been fairly minor. Even with the harsh Saskatchewan elements beating down on it, the equipment has been made to withstand such pressures and has made it fairly reusable.

"We really don't have a lot yet, some of the equipment needs to be oiled in the spring but most of it is all made for outdoor."
