Residents of southeast Saskatchewan had the chance to fill their gas tanks and help raise money fir a number of good causes as ten cents of every litre sold at the Southern Plains Co-op yesterday, went to support The Casey Foundation (Estevan), The Carlyle Sports Arena (Carlyle) and the Ralph Allen Memorial Museum (Oxbow).

"Yesterday was a fantastic day," shared Brian Ens, General Manager for Southern Plain Co-op. "We want to thank all the people who came out to support our Fuel Good promotion that we had. We raised $7700 for the different organizations."

He added that the organizations were chosen with a little help.

"These were all suggestions from different employees that came to us and thought they were good places for the money to go."

He also mentioned that they had barbecues going on that also received great support.

"We were very pleased with what happened yesterday. Whenever people can come out and support us, and we can give back to the community, it's a great feeling."
