Day 2 commences of the second annual 'Gift of Toy' community toy drive in Estevan, the initiative to put a smile on every southeast child's face this Christmas through the Angel Tree program and Golden West Broadcasting.

Generous Estevanites brought their selection of toys on Tuesday to three different locations throughout the city, Power Dodge, Murray GM and Your Toy Store and More, and the piles under the respective Christmas trees grew noticeably.

"(Tuesday) was amazing. The support from this community is out of this world, at the car dealerships, the vehicles are full here at the toy store, there's toys under the tree...there's going to be so many happy kids come Christmas morning," said Char Seeman with the Angel Tree program.

The second and final day of the event is expected to be just as busy, if not more so.

"It's going to be great. We still need those donations. We have, as of this morning, about 415 kids...and I'm sure we're going to get more kids in there, so lets make every kid smile on Christmas morning."

One of those involved in the toy drive know first hand what it's like to be on the other end, as a recipient, and now she gives back through her employment.

"I don't always have a lot of money, as a single mom," expressed Lynn Rosso, who works at Your Toy Store and More, one of this year's donation drop-off locations, "Gifts are one thing I couldn't always afford, so my name went in there. So, I not only help out this way at the toy store, but I get to watch my kids smile on Christmas morning because they got some gifts."

Toys or monetary donations can be dropped off from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, at Power Dodge, Murray GM and Your Toy Store and More.
