Estevan is being asked to step up and support their community once again on December 14th, all if an effort to make Christmas morning magical for our kids.

For 12 consecutive hours from 9am - 9pm, local radio stations CJ1150, Sun102 and Rock106 will be asking for new toy donations towards the Angel Tree in Estevan during 'The Gift Of Toys'.

"It's going to be so great," expresses Char Seeman, Coordinator and Volunteer with the Angel Tree program in Estevan. "We've never had this kind of publicity for (the Angel Tree), and we're so thankful that it's happening because it's going to bring so much more awareness."

"I know that we're going to collect a ton of toys (on Thursday)."

The need in 2017 is greater than it has ever been. There have been 260 requests for Christmas hampers, with a total of 360 kids needing a toy on Christmas morning.

The community can stop by Canadian Tire on King Street in Estevan to drop off their donation. The Estevan Fire Department will have cruisers on site all day long, which is where those donating can drop off their unwrapped gift towards the Angel Tree.

All donations will make their way back to the new Estevan Fire Hall on 13th avenue, where they will be placed under the tree until the campaign ends.

Early next week, families that have applied for a hamper from the Estevan Christmas Hamper Association will have the opportunity to 'shop' for a free toy for their child.

Make your donation before 9pm on Thursday night towards 'The Gift Of Toys', supporting the Angel Tree program in Estevan.
