Shortly after news broke of the devastating collision involving the Humboldt Broncos team bus on Friday night, Humboldt resident Sylvie Kellington created a crowd funding page on the website gofundme in support of the players and families affected.

"As you know the Humboldt Broncos Junior A team was involved in a series accident. Please help us raise money for the players and families affected. Money raised will go directly to families to help with any expenses incurred," explained Sylvie Kellington.

As of 10:46 a.m. on Saturday, over 7,100 people have raised over $484,000 in just over 14 hours. Screen Shot 2018 04 07 at 10.41.33 AMShaunavon's Hayley Wickenheiser offered her support for the Humboldt Broncos on twitter.

At 3:51 p.m. on Saturday, over 21,600 people have raised over $1,500,000 in 19 hours.
