The Hillcrest Christmas Store was a great hit for the students of Hillcrest school once again. It was their 8th year of opening the store for the students to shop for gifts for the loved ones in their life as well as have them wrapped and ready to go under the tree.

"We were able to run the store three days this year thanks to the generosity of the community," shared Sarah Pippus, the community education liaison at Hillcrest. "The kids were able to go through the store three times and were really excited for all the wonderful things that were donated this year."

She added that they are opening the store to the Hillcrest community, the Southeast Newcomers group as well as members of the diversified services group for all the leftover donations. Pippus was excited as they not only had their students benefit from the store but the community also.

Pippus is wanting to thank the community for all the donations as well as the many volunteers who helped make the Christmas Store a success.
