Members of the Estevan Farmer's Market were at Hillcrest School today to hand over a cheque for $500 to the breakfast program.

The Estevan Farmer's Market found themselves in the situation of having a surplus and decided to find an organization in which to give back.

"Because the community is so good to us as a farmer's market," shared Pat Thompson, "so we just wanted to give something back and keep these kids fed."

Sara Pippus, the Community Education Liaison, and organizer of the program added that they are very thankful for the support from the community.

"We really appreciate the community once again come out in a big way and supports our program. We're going into our eighth year this year and we really find that as the word gets around, more and more people come forward and help us support our program. That way we're not having to go out and spend our time hunting for funds which is a really good benefit to be able to focus our time and energy here at the school with the kids."
