The St. Joseph's Hospital is revved up after a donation from Power Dodge that took place on Friday.

"It's a new 2016 Ram Promaster cargo van. They're really good for delivery vehicles and those kinds of things," said Power Dodge owner Trevor Knibbs.

It will be used for a variety of duties in the service of the hospital, according to Executive Director Greg Hoffart.

"It provides us the storage capacity that we need to move large items around, whether it's medical supplies from Regina or a sheet of plywood from the lumber store. It fits the bill perfectly, and we're very appreciative," he noted, adding that it will serve their needs for many years.

Power Dodge has donated two other vehicles in the past, both meal delivery vans for runs between the hospital and the nursing home. This new one will be used primarily for the maintenance department.

"We've been here for 10 years, and whenever we see a need, we try to fill it the best that we can. This is something that we could do, and we're always quite happy to step up and do our part," Knibbs expressed.

"The contributions to our facility that are made from our community are imperative to the service that we do, and Power Dodge is there time and time again for us. We just can't thank them enough. This is a lot of dollars we have saved that we can put into direct front-line patient care," added Hoffart.

Several local businesses were involved, included Power Dodge supplying the vehicle, BK Creations providing the decorative wrap, and Trent's Tire donating summer and winter tires for as long as the van is around. All was at zero cost to the St. Joseph's Hospital.
