As the seasons start to change and winter becomes spring, the fluctuation of temperatures is to be expected.

Having said that, freezing rain is on the clock for the near future.

Environment Canada's John-Paul Cragg spoke about what we should be expecting.

"There's a little system that's going to be pushing through that could potentially bring some freezing rain. It doesn't look it will be very intense in the southeast corner, but it could be enough to make the roads slick and driving conditions dangerous out there."

With expected highs around 5 above zero, it shouldn't be long before the icy road conditions begin to melt.

"It's not going to take much to get above the freezing mark. With the warmer weather, most of that freezing rain will
have thawed, and things won't be as slick outside anymore."

Driving on the side of caution is recommended when dangerous driving conditions are created by the freezing rain and fluctuating temperature.
