A Yellow Grass man will spend the next 40 months in prison. That was the sentence handed down Monday at Estevan Provincial Courthouse. 

Dustin Whitrow pleaded guilty to a number of charges including possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking as well as impaired driving by drug. This came after an accident near Stoughton when he hit a semi. He received minor injuries in that accident.

Whitrow will also have to pay a $1,000 fine plus a $300 victim impact surcharge. He also received a lifetime ban on weapons. As well, he will have to supply DNA for the national database. He will not be allowed to drive for one year after he is released from jail.
