It's another step towards the completion of the year round outdoor rink at the Kin-Park Multi-Sports Facility in Estevan.

"I'm excited, this is huge," said Kinsmen member, Dave Elliott who was on hand when the boards arrived.

"Boards will be stood up and then there's anchoring and shimming to get them straight," explained Colin Jilks, from Althletica Sports Systems, the company who provided the boards. "Once they're anchored and tightened then we can start with the fencing."

The rink boards will not be properly secured for a few more days so patience is appreciated and residents are asked to stay off the boards until they are completely secured.

Elliott adds that the Kin-Clubs are still looking for more support as they have more work to do.

"We have electrical to do, we have the roof, we have to figure out happening with the shack, we definitely need some some money to smooth things out."

But it won't stop them from hosting another Canada Day Celebration at the Kin-Park.

"We'll have the boards up for Canada Day. We'll be doing our normal stuff on Canada Day, free hot dogs, popcorn, candy cotton, snow cones, drinks, cake. There's going to be games, swimming. It's going to be another phenomenal day in the park!"
