The Estevan Kinettes have made a significant contribution to the future of Estevan. The service group has donated $65,000 over a ten year period which will give them naming rights to the Maternity Ward and fund upgrades to the patient rooms for the St. Joseph's Hospital.

Kinettes member Susan Colbow, explains that they wanted to do something on a local level that would help out the hospital.

"We were looking at buying things that the hospital needs and we thought maybe we could go a little bit bigger and take naming rights. We thought that this is a good thing to donate to because we are a women's club and this is where a lot of the women will go to have their babies."

The donation will ensure the continued service the hospital provides for the community, something of which Colbow was very aware.

"It's huge to have a hospital right in the community and have top of the line equipment and rooms and beds. Having a viable hospital is really important, not only to us but to everyone surrounding Estevan who come and use the hospital."
