The King Street rehabilitation project is one step closer to completion.

"The City of Estevan would like to advise the public King Street from Pine Avenue to Spruce Drive is now open," shared City Safety Officer, Helen Fornwald. "Construction work will continue from Spruce Drive to Kensington Avenue."

The Estevan Alliance Church, Midwest Survey, Canada Capital Energy, and Living Hope Church will not have access from their property to King Street. Access will be through Petterson Drive.

Microtel will have limited access from Kensington Ave and No Frills and the gas bar can be accessed through Spruce Drive.

"Moving the barricades is extremely dangerous and constitutes an offence under the Criminal Code as well as the Traffic Safety Act. Estevan Police Service members will be monitoring the area as well as conducting the enforcement. Anyone caught driving through or moving the barricades could face serious charges."

Drivers are asked to avoid the area until the construction has been fully completed.
