City Council has approved the final stages of the King Street Rehabilitation Project this summer.

The details of the work haven't been finalized as of yet but work is tentatively scheduled to begin next week.

"We ended last year at Pine," explained Kiflom Waldeab, City Engineer. "We will pick it up there and then take it all the way to Kensington."

He added that they will likely start at Pine Ave and then work towards Kensington but those details have yet to be decided.

"It will be phased out in three steps."

The project is likely to last around six weeks.

He added that a detour will be set up for motorists to follow during construction.
