Local Estevanites who were unable to head to Winnipeg and take in the Banjo Bowl had a great alternative right here in town.

The Kinsmen and Kinettes held their first annual Banjo Bowl Bash, with food and activities for everyone in addition to the game.

"The purpose was to raise money for Telemiracle 42 and have fun," said Kinette Tara Kyle, noting that all proceeds, including gate admission and auction results, went to the organization.

"We made it an enjoyable family event where everybody could come out, watch the game, have some fun and donate to an awesome cause."

Catered food, a sandbox and bouncy houses and face painting for the kids, a silent auction and 50/50, and a big screen displaying the game were all set up in the Exhibition Hall.
