The gaze is on the the holiday season and beyond into the new year for the Town of Lampman, thus Wednesday night's council meeting was a light one.

"We're working on going ahead and getting land aquired for building a new lagoon, which is in the process. It'll start Janurary or Feburary of the new year," shared Administrator Greg Wallin. He noted that some great savings are being had due to the lack of snow in the southeast.

"We've had no equipment repairs, and very little fuel cost. It's significant savings, compared to this time last year."

Wallin added that the funds thus being conserved can apply to other requirements in the community that need help.

"There's other areas that are well over budget that will overtake what we saved in not plowing snow. And as far as water and sewer repairs, there's never enough dollars to cover what has to be done."
