Recently Estevan band Total Imaginary Mind Experience had an opportunity to submit a track for the compilation album, Saskatchewan Got It Covered.
Artists from across the province were asked to record a track by another Saskatchewan artist with the only stipulation being, they needed permission from the writer of the song. The album helps found raise for public radio in the province and is also a great resource for artists to get their names out.
Total Imaginary Mind Experience chose to cover Hopes Go Astray by the Northern Pikes. The track was originally an upbeat pop rock song that helped propel the Northern Pikes to stardom. This version of the song is the complete opposite, the track is now darker with a more of a jazzy/folk feel.
