Over halfway through day two of the 'Gift of Toys' community toy drive, and the generosity of Estevan businesses is on display towards the Angel Tree program.

Toys are overflowing some of the trucks.

Three locations are set up to receive donations...Murray GM and Power Dodge, both on Kensington Avenue, and the Your Toy Store and More on Souris Avenue.

Among the large contributions was the donation of 30 toys from a local wireless dealer, Jump.ca., brought in by representative Marsha Poole.

"When I was talking to a few (people) in head office and told them I was involved with the Angel Tree, they just simply said, 'what can we do to help?'," explained Poole, "So then they took a little break, they got back to me and they just said, 'Marsha, here is $500, go buy some toys', and that's exactly what I did."

Poole knows the impact of the Angel Tree program from both sides. At one point, she was a recipient of it's services, and she's made an effort to give back ever since, including being among those delivering the toy hampers.

Clifton from Clifton's No Frills brought in a large toy donation.

"Every year, I look forward to it. I don't actually start feeling the Christmas spirit until we've done the toy store. If everybody could only experience the feeling that you get from seeing families...just knowing that you get to help so many families out and make somebody's Christmas just that much more special, it means the world to everybody."

Another donation made Wednesday morning was brought by Clifton from No Frills, while more came from Murray GM and other businesses.
