The Estevan MADD Chapter was hard at work in the extreme cold alongside the Estevan Police on Saturday night during a check stop. Together, they checked 175 vehicles for impaired drivers and were proud to find no impaired drivers.

"It was great, it's exciting to be involved with the Police, and we were happy to say we didn't find any impaired drivers," shared Laura O'Hanlon, a volunteer with MADD, "the message is getting out there for Mothers Against Drunk Driving in Estevan."

O'Hanlon is proud to report that there have been no impaired drivers during her time of helping the police.

"I think the best thing you can do (if your impaired and need a ride home) is to pay the extra $15 for a cab to get there safely, do it for your friends, do it for yourself, do it for your family, and do it for your neighbours."

Dana Merchant and Lyse King, we're also some of the amazing volunteers out braving the cold.
