Mainprize Regional Park has appointed their new Manager in Becky Ferguson, she has been working there for quite a lot of years and started their washing golf carts in her early teen years.

Ferguson has gone through a lot of training, "Well, I have been working at Mainprize for the past 17 years, and I was training under the former manager Allan Clarke up until he retired on October the 15th. I assisted the manager in all the operations of the park, doing the campground operations. Also running the water treatment plant, I've been certified as a water and wastewater operator since 2010 and now supervise that department also."

Not only does she have the experience, but Ferguson is also excited about the 2019 summer season, "I am looking forward to all of my returning employees and some of the new ones that are coming on. Also, we have a lot of events and upcoming activities. We start May long and we have a free pancake breakfast for the people that want to come out. And its all sponsored by Minard's Leisure World, they sponsor it each year and that will be on Sunday of the May long."

Mainprize continues to host some large events throughout the summer and is often full up for the camping season, "We are always looking forward to July 1st, we have a power cart and quad parade. Free hot dog roast on the beach, bring your hot dogs roasting sticks, chairs and visit people as they come. And we finish off the night with a huge fireworks display. There are many more activities that we have planned for this year, and you will just have to look on our facebook page to see what they are and look forward to seeing everybody."
