It seems like winter will never end but there is some light at the end of this tunnel we still have to go through. 

"Looks like the winds are going to last throughout the day," explained John Paul Cragg with Environment Canada. "We are looking at the winds which are right now around 40 km/hr gusting to 60 to remain that strong all the way through until the evening at which point they should start to die down."

"All of that is thanks to a low-pressure system that is slowly pushing into the province and bringing snow. Luckily right now, all of that snow isn't in the Estevan area and it looks like actually won't make it into Estevan. You might not get a lot of snow for Estevan proper but to the west of Estevan, there is some heavy snow falling currently at this time."

"I think the majority of it will miss you as the strongest snow is further to the west and by the time that band of snow makes it to Estevan, it looks like it will be quite a bit weaker."

The forecast has been updated to only 2 cm rather than the 5-10 cm it was calling for earlier. 

"And that might not even stick on the ground given that there has been a little bit of warmer temperatures, that could melt as it settles, especially on roadways. However, when we're looking at snow falling then melting on the ground, with overnight temperatures tonight dipping below zero, it could freeze up and conditions could still be quite icy on the roadways. So it's important to take that into consideration."

"You'll probably have some snow falling all the way through the night and overnight. Then things start to wrap up by the morning and you'll see a bit of a clearing trend with temperatures starting to rebound quite drastically as we make a run into the weekend."

He added that average high for this time of year is 13oC and low of -1oC.
