It has been quite busy at the Salvation Army and the food bank as they prepare the Christmas Hampers in time for Christmas. The cut-off date to apply for a Christmas hamper was last week and Ronza Raynard, Family Coordinator for the Salvation Army shared they had approximately 300 families sign up for a hamper.

"People can still donate items whether its food or monitory donations to the Salvation Army. You can come on in, tell us what you want to donate and we can help you out with that. If people want to donate toys to the Angel Tree they can drop that off here as well or they could go to one of the numbers of toy drives that are going on today[Wednesday] or at WalMart where the Angel Tree is set up."

All the food that is donated and not used in the hampers is going into the Food Bank until it is needed.
