An outbreak in the south region of the province, near the RM of Maple Creek, has elevated Saskatchewan's active COVID-19 cases back above 100. The Saskatchewan Health Authority announced today they had found 13 new cases of the virus in the province, ten of which are in the Maple Creek area.

The 13 new cases bring the provincial total up to 772 cases. The remaining three cases from today are split between the far north, which has one new case, and the north, which has the other two.

Six people have recovered, bringing the provincial total to 654 after it was stagnant for much of the week. The number of active cases has jumped back above the 100-case mark again to a total of 105.

Nine people have been hospitalized with the virus province-wide. Eight of them are receiving inpatient care, with four in the south, three in the north, and one in Saskatoon. One person is in Saskatoon in an intensive care unit as well.
