Thursday night was an evening of quality family fun at Hillcrest School with their Mardi Gras themed Bingo night. The School Community Council at Hillcrest School tries to plan a family night every month for families to attend and have fun together.

"We had a really great turnout with a full house, we had a cool Mardi Gras theme going with a lot of families out playing Bingo together, having a great time," shared Sara Pippus, Community Education Liaison. "We had a great concession going and an outstanding group of leadership kids from our grade 7 and 8 club that looked after everybody, and it's was a lot of fun. We had our Prinical doing the Bingo calling, and the SCC is operating all the stations and supporting everything helping to make it a great night."

The proceeds from the Bingo Night is going to support their playground development program that they have been working on for the last few years. Pipppus also noted that they are excited to have nights like Thursday night where the proceeds go back to the kids and the school.
