The mild weather may not be the best for snowmobiling, but it does help in saving costs for those working with water and sewer main breaks. The milder temperatures keep the lines from freezing up and less likely to have a break that needs to be repaired.

Tom Creighton Stoughton Foreman on the start of the 2019 year, "We're basically doing our regular street maintenance, and looking after any water or sewer problems we have."

In regards to water or sewer lines breaking throughout the community of Stoughton, Creighton had this to say, "We haven't had any real major ones, for about over a month now."

Creighton's explanation on why this is the case for this time of year, "We haven't had the really long periods of cold weather, for the frost to get in really deep into the ground."
