The Moose Mountain park had a great season this year even with a fire ban being put in place.

"I think it's the first fire ban we've ever had in the park but it's been beautiful and hot and dry, so unfortunately we have a fire ban. We're about 80% full for the Labor Day weekend, people still want to come and camp," explained Joan Adams the Park Manager.

"Both July and August are very busy months here in the park, I would think August might be a little bit busier than July but both of those months it was pretty much packed all summer long."

Although the campground office will be closing soon people can still get a campsite.

"Our campground office is going to close Monday during the Labor Day weekend but we actually leave Lynwood campground open for another month. People can come and can either make a reservation or just take your chances on a first come first serve site. We're open for the month of September which is a beautiful time to come camping," she stated.

"Come and enjoy the last few days maybe of the summer season before school goes back in. It's beautiful and we still have some room."
