Managers from around the province attended Provincial parks meetings recently.

"It's pretty much business as usual," shared Joan Adams, Parks Manager. "A lot of it had to do with park operations specifically and occupational health and safety for our employees. But for the park visitors and for the cottagers, they're not going to notice too much difference."

She did mention that there are some upgrades planned for some campsites.

"That's not going to affect anything until the fall. It's actually our seasonal camping loop. Those are the folks who get in on the draw early in the year and they come and they camp all year. Typically it's from the May Long Weekend until the end of September but we're going to have to shorten that up this year to the Labour Day Weekend."

"After that, that is when we are going to do an electrical upgrade to those couple of loops. The electrical needs to be updated so it can accommodate these bigger RVs and the need for power."

Adams added that work is still being done to prepare for the summer season but it is weather dependent.
