A little ways after 6:00 PM on Thursday, local emergency services responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Souris Avenue and 8th Street, near Affinity Place.

While few details are available yet, a car could be seen completely flipped over into it's roof in the middle of the intersection. One individual was taken to hospital.

The intersection is closed, and crews on scene expect it to be that way for at least the next half hour, as they clean up the glass and debris that was spread out across the area.

The public is asked to avoid the area and find an alternate route.
