Many people are split with how this year's provincial budget panned out.

The Saskatchewan NDP Finance Critic Cathy Sproule weighed in on the budget that was presented to Saskatchewan on April 10th.

"Its a fairly bland budget with little offerings for Saskatchewan people. I think it lacks vision, it lacks a plan. Our debt has exploded we're going to be 20 billion dollars in debt and Saskatchewan families are paying more and they're getting less."

With the $20 billion this budget, Sproule also showed concern about the growing provincial debt.

"Well, I think its the lack of even concern about the exploding debt. I mean, the numbers we are reaching go beyond anything you can imagine," she said. "So although they talk a lot about getting back to balance there is just absolutely no regard being paid to the amount of debt this province is suffering from and we have seen this story before."

Although she thought this years budget was bland, Sproule and the NDP did find some positives.  Like the 100% coverage for HIV and the additional funds for mental health. They are also pleased with the autism supports for young children, which is something their party has been calling for.

The budget has its fair share of critics as well as supporters, as it was Premier Scott Moe's first budget.
