At approximately 10:20 AM, emergency crews rushed to the scene of a motor vehicle accident north of Estevan.

"It was a two-vehicle accident on the first grid, north on Highway 47," Sgt Evan Handley explained. "One was heading southbound and one was heading westbound. There were minor injuries to occupants of the one vehicle."

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. One individual was charged with driving without due care and attention

"I believe someone just wasn't paying attention while they were driving and either missed the stop sign or left too soon from the stop sign."

He added that he didn't think road conditions played a factor in the accident.
