Depending on where you live in southeastern Saskatchewan, you could have received anywhere from 1 mm of rain to over 110 mm of rain over Friday and Saturday.

"It varied quite a bit," explained Regional Meteorologist, John Paul Cragg with Environment Canada, "because a lot of the rain that came down with these storms was thanks to thunderstorm activity. So some areas got more than others."

"It was the southeast corner of the province that really got hit the hardest. We had a report from Oxbow of around 110 mm of rain from the 1st to the 2nd of June. And the same for Maryfield, Maryfield received close to 100 mm of rain as well."

"Estevan received around 60 mm of rain June 1st and 2nd and another 30 mm of rain back on May 29th. So quite a bit of rain but not all at the same time in the way that places like Oxbow and Maryfield and Lampman received."

"Overall quite a variation in terms of precipitation across the southeast. However, it was still a lot of rain for areas, within a couple days received anywhere from about 30 mm to about 110 mm, 120 mm and probably similar amounts in Lampman."

"Everyone received some rain and everyone received a lot of rain. Some people more than others."

He added that the storm created many lightning strikes.

"It's been pretty continuous. You've received quite a few thunderstorms over the past seven-plus days. I would be surprised if there wasn't some damage done from all those lightning strikes."

He mentioned that there is still the possibility of more showers heading our way.

"There's a good chance you'll be seeing some more showers tonight and potential thunderstorms. And then it looks like things clear up for a couple days and showers come back for Thursday. We're in a much rainier cycle than we were through April and the beginning three months of May."
