Prince Edward Island has announced that they will start suspending drivers licenses of those who illegally pass school buses for three months starting December 8, 2018.

Saskatchewan's Minister of Highways, Lori Carr says that nothing is in that books for a similar law but is open to the idea.

"As far as I'm concerned anything that really truly brings more safety to our roads, no matter what it is, it's not a bad thing."

In PEI, failing to stop for a school will also result in 12 demerit points and a $5,000 fine.
