As construction comes to an end, work is already underway for next year. The fall tender plan will officially be released in the next few weeks with 25 planned projects to begin in spring of 2019. Highway 18 & 350 near Torquay is on the tender plan as well as Highway 39 between Estevan and Weyburn. Highway 39 is set to begin in the spring to start constructions on passing lanes.

Lori Carr Minister of Highways and Infrastructure shares, "We just opened one set of passing lanes and we are planning to open another set probably next week sometime because of the weather they haven't been able to finish paving it. Next year we will be doing passing lanes Estevan and Weyburn which is part of the fall tender package. Construction for the passing lanes will start in the spring and should finish in the fall before winter."

"The Torquay Project is on the fall tender as well, depending on the chosen contractor, the project should begin next spring into the summer. As you travel our roads you see roads that have become weak or is in disrepair and this one has come to its useful life and it's time to resurface it."
