The Estevan Police Service was kept steadily on the go throughout the night shift, Monday evening through Tuesday morning.

"We started off with a theft...from a local gas station. The vehicle was located a short time later and the driver returned to the store to pay for the fuel," related Sergeant Evan Handley.

"We then had a report of a male uttering threats to a third party. That investigation is still ongoing."

Officers also conducted regular patrols throughout the city, and worked on various files carrying over from the weekend.

Monday's dayshift was also kept fairly busy. Police received a driving complaint in relation to a company vehicle failing to obey a traffic light at an intersection, and the matter is still under investigation. Members also attended a commercial business alarm, a report of mischief to property and suspicious activity around the residence, a request to assist a landowner in speaking to a tenant, and a report of fraud where an individual was attempting to obtain a mortgage and was defrauded a security deposit.
