Another quiet evening went into the books for the Estevan Police Service, but not without stuff to do.

"The cold weather seems to keep people indoors, so we didn't have to deal with too many incidents last night. The big call was a report of an intoxicated male at a local downtown business. We had our members attend there and they just spoke with the individual. He wasn't causing any issues or problems, so we ended up calling a cab for him and he was able to head on home," shared Sergeant Craig Bird.

"Other than that, we did a tour with the Air Cadets. They came down and had a visit to our police station and got to see some of the workings of the Estevan Police Service, as well as our K9 unit. They had a good time, and got to learn a little bit about what we do."

He also gave a word of advice regarding the new driving conditions.

"The roads are a little slick out there now. People just need to take a little bit of care...and make sure they leave enough distance between vehicles so that they can stop in time. Everybody's got to get into that mode, that winter's here and it's going to be here for a little while, so get used to driving with a little bit  more caution."
