Several items kept the Estevan Police Service occupied over the Thursday nightshift, which followed a busy dayshift.

"We got a call from a residence here in the south end of the city, that someone had found an elderly female who had come to the door and wasn't sure where they were or where they belonged, so they ended up calling us to render some assistance to her," said Sergeant Craig Bird, "It took a little bit of investigation but we found out where she belonged and was able to return her home without any incident."

He added that they were also called to a local establishment, where a patron was causing trouble for staff. However, the person had left by the time police arrived. Officers found out who the culprit was, and are following ends to see if any action needs to be taken.

During the day, the EPS received a call of a bomb threat made via email to a local business. The business was found to be safe, but police ask the public to call them if they received similar communications.

Other matters handled by police during the day included a hit and run, fraud and several cases of harrassment.
