SaskPower crews had to pull an all nighter and then some to restore power to most of the southeast by Friday morning following Thursday's severe storm.

"We started seeing a lot of damage, not only at our structures at Boundary Dam Power Station, but also poles and lines everywhere in the southeast. At some point, we may have had tens of thousands of people off(line)," shared Jonathan Trembley.

"We worked through the night to bring some units back on line at Boundary Dam, and also to fix a lot of poles and bring power back to people in the area."

As of early Friday morning, most regions have power once again, though there may still be pockets that are still down.

"Trees on lines here and there, broken poles, we're still finding and fixing a lot of them," Trembley said.

The flash flood experienced by Boundary is already under control, and they expect everything to return to normal by the end of the morning.
