SaskPower has issued the following update regarding the power outage in southeast Saskatchewan.

"Crews have been switching customers on throughout the day and have managed to successfully restore power to the majority of our customers. However, we will have to shut power off for final switching starting 3 pm affecting customers in the Alida, Carlyle, Storthoaks, and surrounding area."

"We estimate the power to be restored around 4:30. We appreciate your patience throughout this time."

Power is gradually being restored to area in the southeast that has been without power since late last night.

SaskPower has released the following update:

"Crews have been able to restore the majority of the power by noon, but the remaining customer sin the Carievale, Carnduff, Alida, Alameda, Oxbow, Glen Ewen, Gainsborough, Redvers, and Carlyle, as well as surrounding area will be restored by 2:30 pm."

"We apologize for any inconvenience and we thank you for your patience at this time."
